When you’re planning an event, there are so many decisions to be made. If you’re going to work with a professional event planner, one of them is knowing which level of support to choose: consulting, day-of coordination, or full-service event planning.
Consulting allows clients to obtain professional assistance with aspects of the event. For example, if only design services are needed, this can be achieved with focused consulting. Day-of coordination is often requested by clients who have chosen to do much of the planning on their own but wish to have an experienced professional help them on the event day to alleviate their own need to direct and manage the event.
Despite these other options, there are many benefits to full-service event planning that shouldn’t be overlooked. Here are some of them:
One of the most important benefits is CONSISTENCY. Working with an event planner from beginning to end allows the professional to be involved in all important and decision-making aspects throughout the process. You will be guided on the best-suited solutions, which allows your planner to create the proper plan for optimal execution.
Going with full-service event planning allows the planner to be able to weigh in on reliable and professional vendors. If they will play a big part in performing services for the event. I can present and convey a vision and expectations for you—and then follow up and communicate regularly leading up to the event to make sure that everyone is prepared and up to date with important details.
Month of Coordination
Month of coordination services aren’t there to help you choose or secure vendors or design the look and feel of the day. However, I do help pull all the details together and make sure things run smoothly on the day of the event. While everyone’s preferences and needs will be different, I strongly recommend that you hire a planner for Month of Coordination, if nothing else. Asking a cousin or friend to fill that role can end up with less-than-ideal results, and you want to make sure that they can enjoy the festivities too!
Full-Service Planning, Design and Coordination
Full-service pros are just that: full-service! I’ll take the lead on essentially everything, from setting your budget to sourcing out design plans, handpicking your venue and vendors, managing your guest list, reviewing and negotiating contracts, and creating manageable timelines to keep you on track with all your to-dos. I’ll personally be there every step along the way and continue to be all-hands-on-deck when it comes to the actual day itself.
